You finished your Yoga Teacher training and you’re buzzing to keep going. But then you stop because you don’t quite know what to do and how to get your Yoga Business started. I’ve been there and that’s why I created the ‘new yoga teacher checklist’.
The majority of Yoga Teacher Trainings don’t cover much business Training. We are so focused on learning to teach yoga, the skill that you want to learn, that we almost forget to plan what comes after the training and to set up your business. I am lucky in that sense, as I studied Business for a number of years. Even before I finished my Yoga Teacher Training I had a lot of my business set up and managed to get a number of teaching gigs.
There are a few things that you should sit down for and write down:
- Your Vision
In Business, it’s always good to know your vision. Things like where you wanna teach, what your 1, 2 and 5-year goals are, how often you want to teach and what kind of business you want to build. Do you want to teach part-time or is this something you want to pursue full-time?
- Your Why
Knowing your why is so important. Why do you want to teach? Write it down. Maybe in your journal, or wherever you want to write this down, as long as you can come back to it if things get a bit tough.
- Your Ideal Client
Again, this is something that is good for you to know from the get-go as that will help with branding, positioning and advertising. Don’t worry if you don’t know at the moment who your ideal client is. You can download your ‘Finding your Ideal Client’ Workbook here.
