These energy balls are easy to make and are ideal for a little pick me up when you need one.
100g dark chocolate
2 cups Almonds
4 tbsp coconut oil
2 tbsp maple syrup (you can use honey here too)
Easy to make energy balls
- Break the chocolate up into pieces
- Place the chocolate and almonds (if using whole almonds) in a food processor and blitz on medium to high speed. Blitz until the chocolate are thoroughly combined (if you don’t have a food processor like me, you can buy ground almonds and grate the chocolate by hand)
- Mix the dry ingredients in a bowl with the remainder of the ingredients (this can also be done in the food processor but I prefer to combine it by hand)
- Roll into balls
- Freeze for at least an hour and then keep them either in the fridge or freezer
This recipe is super easy to make. Take the energy balls with you and have them as a snack after you exercise or anytime you need during the day.
