This week I found that if you put effort into things and trust the process, things will work out and fall into place as they are supposed to. I’ve been meditating a lot this week and been doing different visualisations. It’s so important to look after your mind, especially when life gets busy. A lot of days I managed to meditate for 20 minutes, which is a long time for me to sit down and ‘do nothing’.
Life has a funny way of working out sometimes. You just have to believe in yourself and trust life. I’m currently reading Carrie Green’s book ‘She means business‘ and she talks about putting things out into the universe and the universe providing. That reminded me of one of the mantras from last year: ‘I trust that life will take me where I need to be’ I used this mantra quite a lot and it did help, especially during tough times. Mantras are a good way to focus your attention on something that you’d like to work on. (I’m posting a separate post about Mantra’s shortly)
On Saturday, I was filming my weekly Yoga Basics Video, and everything seemed to go wrong. I screwed up the first take, so restarted the video. The second take went really well, then when I went back to the camera after, the memory ran out whilst I was filming, so it didn’t actually record. I then stopped the audio recording and realised that was showing me a message that something went wrong. It wasn’t a good morning for filming, so I just left it, taught my classes and then gave it another go after classes. The second attempt (well third one really) everything went as planned and I managed to get everything. Sometimes you just have to walk away from something for a little while and come back later. There is no point to stress about it too much as that usually makes the whole situation worse. Stepping back and taking a deep breath is sometimes all you need to do to get a bit of perspective and sort things out.
Until next week,
