I had a bit of a low week this week. I felt really stressed and close to a burnout. I’ve put so much on my own plate and I’m struggling to keep up with the schedule I set myself. So I eased off my schedule and took a couple of evenings just for myself. Without my laptop. Without emails or social media. It’s what I needed. I can’t stress enough how important it is to listen to your body. And to take time out for yourself.
On Saturday I hosted a self-love event down by Brighton beach and it was amazing. I’ve been preparing for this event the whole week. And it couldn’t have gone better. The students and the place were just amazing.
It’s now Sunday morning. As usual, I woke up at 5 am. Apparently, my body just wakes up at that time at the moment. As every Sunday, I’m staying in bed and doing some admin. I enjoy this time as I just take things easy. Yes, I’m doing work. But I’m sitting in bed, have Friends on in the background and taking it easy.
My life has changed so much over the last year. But I wouldn’t change it for anything in the world. I get to meet so many different and amazing people from all walks of life. And I get to do what I love. This weekend has really shown me this. All the hard work that went into the event. It has all paid off. Hard work always pays off. And persistence.
I’m now going to drink more coffee and do few bits of admin.
